Can you get the Namco items without having a Japan PSN account?

no, the mall doesnt sell these items, you have to unlock them by beating the games on home. You have to have either a japan or hong kong account to download the namco beta, then you can run it on your normal account once you install it.

I'm pretty sure you can get the bear, the tiki and the robot in the US mall.

Yes you can, I thought you were refering to the other stuff sorry.
I just managed to get the last unlock in Xevious, look what you get when you score 100% in all 4 games in the beta!!! Xevious was rough since it ends so fast, i never thought id get the last trophy ( a shirt ) but that was the last game i didnt get 100% in, when I did, BINGO!!!!!

Those are super farking awesome. Especially the tabletop unit!!
Are they "full" versions of the games ... or "mini" versions that only contain a few levels or limited play (like the Home version of Echochrome)?

The only thing I won was a Icebreaker hat. Dont plan on using Home much. Too boring 4 me.

I have a feeling that once they start getting feedback on what is popular in home, they will add some awesome stuff into it. I would like to see an arcade in home with lots of machines, that you can activate buy purchasing the game in the playstation store, including multiplayer games like streetfighter 2 and racing games.
Id like to see a baseball field, basketball court and stuff like that.
As for the movie theater, it would be cool if you could go watch a movie, and get a discount for the more people that go to it.

After seeing this I turned on my PS3 and am going to download Home now. Right after the system update downloads as I haven't turned my PS3 on in over 30 days.

With the exception of Backwards Compatibility, Sony has done a decent job of adding to/revising/updating the PS3, the XMB, PSN Store, and the PSP/PS3 cross functionality - based in large on consumer feedback.
I have little doubt that they're going to pay Home any less attention.
Even though what's here to start is uber-minimal ... it's all about the potential, which I would imagine is pretty limitless.
Baseball would be a lot of fun...but what I'd like to see (in that vein) is KICK-BALL!!! Come on, who wouldn't love to play some old-fashioned play-ground style kick-ball??
The forthcoming Red Bull plane racing space looks like a hell of a lot of fun ... I wonder when that's going to go live.
