I have a copy of Blazing Lasers with a bit of corrosion on the contacts. I have been cleaning the contacts (nearly all of the corrosion is gone). Currently the card is still not booting. What other repair methods are available for HuCards, if any?

How did you clean them? I use copper polish and Q-tips to clean all my games, including Turbografx. You can get a small bottle in the cleaning section of the grocery store for about $5.

I use a ultra fine grit sandpaper and lightly clean the contacts this way, then apply a little alcohol to clean them off once done. It has fixed all my non-working cards.

I have cleaned many, and have never had one NOT work for me. If you have already used 91% isopropyl alcohol and a qtip and vigorously rubbed the contacts, try a pencil eraser. Erase all of the crud off and then be sure to clean off the eraser shavings before popping it into your system. That should do the trick.

I used to oppose this method but I finally did come across a game with corrosion on the contacts, the important thing is to buff out any scratches left behind by the sanding.
