View Full Version : Reactor 2600 Sealed? Perhaps GB & GBC too?

I have a hard enough time pricing CIB 2600 titles, loose prices are second nature... but, what about new ones? I have no experience here. Sealed GameBoy gives me hell too. Little help? LOL

Outside of general scarcity and desirability factors (I have a firm handle on these) the simplistic way to view this could be; a loose game is worth X, a CIB is worth (1.5 to 2+)X to derive Y, and a new game is worth (2 to 3+)Y to derive Z. So in my mind, the Reactor loose is worth $6 (DP guide), a CIB $9 to 12, a sealed $18 to $36... same for GB/C stuff, actually that's how I have 'trained' myself to value CIB and sealed by my expectations and bias over time.

Anyway, that's how I would value it. Now, when someone learned comes about and helps me, I wonder, how off is my estimation going to be and in which direction do I blunder? I'd be surprised if I even come close...

A sealed 2600 Reactor can be had for $12-$15 (or less).

It will depend on the game itself.

Like a sealed ET, meh.

This definitely wouldn't work, because of how different the game's values are.

Just look the game sealed up online.

On-line look-up is obvious enough, but many times there is not enough sources available to eliminate the extreme lows and highs and determine a fair median. I don't eye VCS very often. I don't bump into it in the wild enough to warrant keeping up.

Thanks for all the input guys. :)
