Found a yard sale on monday afternoon around 4:30 or 5pm. Monday was a holiday here in Canada (victoria day) So anyhow, I'm looking around and I see a little stack of psx sports games.

I'm thinking 'well, at least I seen some video games in the wild'. Look a bit more, and there is a box of nintendo games and 7 or 8 genesis games with systems. The guy asks for $5 each, or 50 for the lot... Nothing too special. There was a boxed ,micro machines that I almost bought, but I just thanked him and kept looking.

Anyhow, he asked me if I knew anyone who liked the old sega system or atari, because he had a couple of boxes downstairs that he hadn't put out.

My interest was piqued, and I said I did, and I'd take a look.

5 boxes of stuff later, I walked away with all off the atari/sms stuff for $75

Heres a partial list:

Spectravideo carts:
Nexar
tapeworm
china syndrome
cross force
planet patrol
gas hog
bumper bash
master builder

also about 7 zellers atari carts, a mint boxed Snoopy and the Red baron, about 5 other boxed atari games, 5 boxed NES games, about 70 other loose atari games, a TON of controllers, 2 Sega Master systems (1 boxed), 1 SMS 2 (boxed) and action max system (boxed). And 25 SMS games.

This definitely ranks as my best find ever.

(special thanks to my wife who actually let me do it)

Not got enough time to snoop round boot sales at the moment, so my 'finds' are all web based at the mo ...

Got Metal Slug (Saturn) on eBay for $55, which will probably sell for nearly double that over here.

Also, found an online store that sold me Shining Force 1 & 2 (PAL) for £14 and £17 - complete and in good condition. Quite a bargain, especially for SF2, which usually fetches near £40 ($65)

Picked up 3 loose and untested 2600's and a bare 7800 from a junk store today for $1 each. The were real dirty and one even has the end of the video cord chewed-off, but I'm hopeful at least one of the systems will work. :/

Have you been hunting for this game or something? I see it everywhere, it's quite common.

The PAL versions of most of the Megagames comps are all common (Megagames 1, 2, 3 and 6). Megagames 6 vol 2 is slightly harder to find, and the only rare(ish) one is Megagames 6 vol.3 [possibly not the right name - it's got Sega Soccer instead of Ultimate Soccer], which was only sold as a pack-in with late Megadrive 2's. I think.

The Adventures of Lomax (PSX) -- $7

The disc, manual, and back art are all minty, while the plastic jewelcase is totally thrashed.

It's like I can hear the weapons officer ejaculating "shields at 8%, captain!"

At a Salvation Army Thrift:

9.99 NES with everything but power cord
FREE SMB/DH
1.99 Tecmo Bowl
1.99 Top Gun

And I actually SAW Atari carts there! They were dirt commons but they're the first I've seen in the past few months of hunting.
