Well, I don't think you can use the term "like new" on ebay. Try Craigslist first. You could probably get $40-$50.

For games at least, they have a 'like new' selection from a condition list now. Not sure if they have it for systems.
I recently sold a cobalt SP w/ beat-up box and charger for about $71 shipped on eBay. Now, that was peak Xmas gift buying time, so I wouldn't expect that right now. I've heard recently that a little after xmas is also a good time to sell this sort of thing, since kids have money from grandma to spend.

Why are SPs so damn expensive? You can get micros for $40 all day (around where I live, at least).
Sucks coz I wanted a junk one - I went shopping last weekend and all the stores wanted beaucoup yen.

I can only figure it is because the SP is more well-known (every kid has/had one, so every other kid wants/wanted one). Also, they do play GB and GBC games, which is a definite plus for people on a budget.
But that said, I agree with you, they still seem too high to me. during the rest of the year (non-xmas time) they max out at $40 around here, and usually come with a game or two at that.
I don't see micros too often, and they usually are 50 or so. I'd like to get my hands on a boxed anniv. ed. micro (or whatever it is called), but a couple have slipped through my fingers for one reason or another.

I bought a dozen sealed SP's recently at my local FYE on closeout for $54 each. I sold half of'em at BO's of $120 within hours of posting. I had meant to post the remainder a few weeks prior to Christmas in hopes of moving them at slightly higher profit and forgot!
