Does anyone know what the full list of games that are supposedly "too violent and too bloody and too hororific" are? I have one of them that was for the 360 but I'm thinking about getting them all.

... What the Hell are you talking about?

There are two possible interpretations of your post. The first is 'games that were banned or unreleased due to content'. That includes games like Thrill Kill for PS1 and Death Race 2000 for arcades back in the day. That makes the most sense, since it's an objective, known quantity. If that's what your asking, then those are the two I can think of off the top of my head.

The other interpretation is that you're requesting information on games that have caused controversy over their content but were released, such as Manhunt and it's shitty sequel, Carmageddon, Mortal Kombat, and so on. That's a weird and subjective question, but I've answered your question again.

And while we're at it, what game for the 360 are you referring to? I can't think of any game for the 360 that sparked any controversy at all. Not even Gears of War or Condemned.

number 4 on the last list i heard was for the 360 Jericho. there is also one im looking for that was only released online that started off with like 3 ppl in hell and you choose one of them. you fight the others to get the devil to let you back on earth and then you get to continue your murderous ways. it was supposed to be the game that gave the resident evil people their inspiration. and im talking about all of them. not just things that raised controversy but all games that they wanted band and everything else.:bad-words: :rockets:

Who's "they" that wants games banned? Somebody wants every game banned. "Some" say children shouldn't play games at all.

There is no "they". If you live in the US, and your game doesn't have any illegal content, you can make and release any game you want (for the PC or an open system, that is). There is no "banned".

in that case, you need to get Satan's Hollow... it was released for arcades, and it's on Midway's Arcade Treasures compilation, but when it was originally released, the big controversy about it was that it supposedly flashed some kind of Satanic subliminal message on the screen for a split second every few seconds that you played it... so the longer you played, the more evil you would become, or some such nonsense... yet another never proved rumor promoted by religious groups of questionable sanity, with nothing better to do but to make up false rumors about a video game, just because of it's name

I might add the game is really good too, if you're into old school shooters... you blast down gargoyles who drop bridge pieces, so you can construct a bridge across a fiery chasm to the next level... and eventually you fight Satan himself... so you'd think that most religious folks would be all for it, since the object is to work your way up to the Devil, so you can kill him... but of course that point was lost on religious folks of questionable sanity

I apologize in advance for how rude the following questions are...but if you wouldn't mind answering them, I really would like to know:

Not to be rude Masterwolf181, you should totally check out the FAQ, specifically the section about using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. It's conveniently located in the tool bar above this thread between 'User CP' and 'Members List'. This isn't gameFAQs: we use the King's English here, goddammit.

Now, I'm no detective, but since your location says you're in Washington state, and your profile is in decipherable english, AND it says you're both in high school and are a smart ass, I would guess that you're perfectly capable of communicating in the way detailed in the aforementioned FAQ.

Oh yeah, and welcome to the boards. I think you'll find that, once you clean up your posts and quit making up 'stuff you heard' to try and spark a conversation, we're a bunch of fellow nerds who'll get along with you just fine. :)

EDIT: Oh, right; while we're at the whole 'list you heard' thing, Jericho inspired no controversy at all, except in how it was green-lit for release and why it sucked so hard. Just a heads up.

When he says "they", I think he means parent groups and those crazy politicians that want games banned. As in actual games, he wants to know the stories behind the titles that caused the controversy and ended up on the "want to ban" list.

GTA 3 and 4 are the most recent that I can think of.

I also have a problem with the fact that I sometimes spell phonetically out of habit after all we are always told to sound out the words to spell them but more than half don’t even follow the rules. Jericho was listed sometime after it came out as one of the top ten games that should be banned, along with manhunt and some others that weren’t put on the list right away. It was on the news for about oh I don’t know a day and a half? all I remember is saying I want those games and going on a rant that the only reason these people complain about these games that we play is that when they try them they cant make it past the first area, they crap there pants at the intro because they cant handle it, or once again they are a religious fanatic. I do apologize for grammatical errors, I do admit my faults and I admit that my keyboard suck balls and doesn’t always pick up on letters or for some damn reason picks up on the wrong one if I hit it or not. But I do not and never will apologies for the way I speak, it’s just something I have picked up from the books I read, and the people I'm around. I know I didn't catch everything here (those run-on sentences are just, wow), but this seriously took me only a few minutes to do, tags included. If you want respect, show at least a little to those around you. This isn't the way you speak, it's the way you write, there is a difference. Furthermore, don't use the excuse of "the people I'm around" as a crutch to not writing well. Learn to write and speak well for yourself, you will paint a much better picture of yourself and earn some respect at the same time.

Just trying to help a guy out...

I never heard of any hype over Jericho. Other than it was shit. It's a Codemasters game, and even though I love FPSand the concept of some of their games, they're just absolute shit.

The only games on the 360 so far that I've played and thought extremely bad are the sandbox type games. These games you can choose to brutally murder innocents. Like Assassin's Creed, GTA IV, Saint's Rows.. and especially The Godfather.

Speaking of which why wasn't they're controversy over this? You can throw people in furnaces and give them the Sicilian Candlestick!

So while we read it, anybody want some beer?

How 'bout some ether?

Also, the thing about typing a message board post is that before you send it, you have the opportunity to read over it and see if it's reasonably readable and makes sense. From what I've gathered many people do not know this, but it is true. Most people don't expect it to be perfect, but putting some effort into it shows respect for your fellow posters and they are more likely to take you seriously. They will also respond better to your threads.

Just avoid super long paragraphs and you will be good. Seriously, i am not taking the time to worry about spelling in a message boatrd.

but if your paragraphs run for too long that is where you need to trone it down. also watch out for sentences that span your entire post when you have a huge post.

Well, sir, I thus care not about thou's tone of speak.

Stars align with the moon and on thus morrow, thou shalt be spoken to in the tone thou art charted to speak. Thine eyes have grazed presence of Shakespeare, while thou mouth holds repress on that said occasion.

Is the school system really that poorly staffed that at seventeen years of age you simply cannot talk or write in any sort of proper manner, let alone having a single sentence that contains any amount of coherent thought!?

Sorry if I am being rude, but its necessary for me to get that out there. I'm really curious to see if the schools in your area are teaching you anything about grammar.

The reason that that post appears out of place and incorrectly thought out is that it was a reply to questioning of another party. Not to be rude but thanks for asking you arrogant prig.
