I have a Silver PSP 2000 modded with 3.8 something. Worked great until I watched "White Chicks" on UMD and now it's sickly.

Turn it on and the menu screen works great... until about 15 seconds later when it starts to slow down (like 1/4 speed!)

If you can hit the UMD button in time it will play games and movies just fine.

If you wait too long or try to boot up one of the emulators it freezes.

What have I done? What can I do?

Oh man, I read that as "I watched "White Chicks" on UMD and now it's sticky."

*shakes head*

I doubt it had to do with the movie. Have you done anything with the settings lately? This (http://www.techiechips.com/top-reasons-for-a-slow-psp/) is a little outdated but it lists some troubleshooting advice that I've found commonly offered when a system starts acting up.
