Now they have done the FC3 I am hoping the next system would incorporate a slot for TG16\ PC Engine games. It should have a switch to bounce between USA and Japanese.

Don't like that idea? What do you want or expect to see?

The concept of a HuCard slot on a Famiclone has been brought up before here, but I don't think there is a sufficient supply of TurboGrafx16 games available to the general public to make a clone of it worth it. Then again, most of these clones come from the part of the world where the PC Engine had over a decade of life...

That said, I would buy it, especially if it had a region switch. Other stuff that would be good would be a Genesis clone with Sega CD support.

Maybe improved versions of the FC Mobile or some similar device allowing you to play SNES or Genesis games on a portable. I know the Nomad exists but a new version of a Genesis portable isn't any worse of an idea than yet another variation of the Retro Duo, FC3, FC Twin, whatever the hell they are called.

Tell you what. Get a portable SNES into Ebay shops at $40-45 shipped and then you'll see some action. And I am sure they can correct the incorrect button setup on the FC Mobile, along with the missing AC adapter blunder, since those cash cows will just find another way to reissue the same product (under a new name and design) all over again in 6-12 months.

I don't think there can be a Disk System clone because the BIOS would be too expensive to replicate. They should work on making clones compatible with it, though.

What I don't get is how they can make an almost 100% compatible clone system that plays Castlevania III and then make another one that doesn't.

*hearty laugh*

That'd be buggier than that little chamber Indiana Jones, Kate Capshaw & Short Round passed through in Temple of Doom.

But if that machine were possible, it'd be better than sex. At least with most partners.

But they "made it" out of the chamber. So perhaps they could make this portable out of bug chambers and the tears of lost children all over the world.

Um...who have you been having sex with thats left such a void in your lifeLOL

I would love one that put the handheld games on a TV.

The hucard slot would definitely be cool since I can't seem to find a TG-16 anywhere.

Someone on here is thinking about selling his brand new one in box. You should hit him up.

Most clone systems come from Asia. There are a ton of PC Engine clones available in that part of the world already. Behold:

There isn't the market to develop a PC Engine clone in the west. Chances of this happening are slim.

I'd like a really nice looking Neo Geo clone with Component output and an internal bay for your own 3.5" HDD (no cart slot).

They already have that. It's called a modded Xbox ;)

Well, logically the next Yobo clone should include a N64 slot. I highly doubt they would make one compatible to the 2600 or the Master System.

SNES is technically not legal to put in clone systems because the patent hasn't been through its 20 year period, but Nintendo probably doesn't care.

The N64 might be a different story. But a Hu-Card slot, that would be awesome.

so is the PC Engine/TG-16 past its 20 year mark?

Yup, the PC Engine came out in 1987 if I recall correctly.
