I honestly can't remember who my secret santa was. I threw the box away after getting the wrapped packages out and ripped up the labels when opening the packages. Thanks to whoever my SS was. I received:

Sidearms (TG-16)
R-Type (TG-16)
Aracade's Greatest Hits: The Atari Collection 2 (PSX)
Amazing Island (GCN)

All games I really wanted. A very good Christmas treat. :)

That was me. Glad you are enjoying them.

I don't think he browses the forums too often, so I'll let you know that it was kevates :)

Ah, thanks POG for solving that mystery for me! And thank you kevates, wherever you are ;)

Oh, this whole thing sounded so awesome, and I just joined a few days after Christmas. But you can count me in for next year!!

Hey there everyone! I'm NEW!! Searches about repros got me here...and it looks fun! I'm generally an NES/SNES lover, but also much of an RPG player -- no idea if this is the place to introduce myself, but here it goes nonetheless. Feel free to direct me to the correct place, if any.

I love tacticals! Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics and basically all things Nippon Ichi Software for PS2! ;) May we all get along!

Welcome. And this thread (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5) would be the place to introduce yourself, and it was only right below this thread in the list ;)

I got a great package from Chickenpuppet. I was going to do a before & after picture since they packages were wrapped so nicely, but like a kid again, I just tore them open because I couldn't wait any longer! I got Bust-a-Move 2 Arcade edition for N64, 3 Dreamcast games, 4 Atari games, 2 Genesis games, and a DKC VHS tape. Oh yeah, I also got some miniature lincoln logs that will be perfect for my baby brother. Thanks Chickenpuppet, and I hope you have/had a great day.

Glad you liked the package :) As i mentioned, I am not an Atari collector (due to Stella, lol) so I hope at least a couple of those were the variants you wanted.

My SS was LiquidPolicenaut. He sent me:
RE0 on the gamecube (sweet!), Persona 3 PS2(both my wife and I will enjoy this one!), Soul Calibur on the DC (which is in danger of giving me busted thumbs! much fun!) , and a MUCH needed DC controller. A very nice surprise. Thanks so much!

Oh, and sorry so long to post, but I was visiting Indiana for the holidays and just returned last night!

Glad you enjoyed your presents! I tried to get the last copy the store had of Baten Kaitos but, damn, that disc looked like it was used as a hockey puck! lol The DC stuff was easy (you wanted a classic...that was SC...and of course you'd need an extra controller to fully enjoy it). Then I saw what you had for the GC and PS2 and try to find 2 classics for both systems that at least I knew from personal experience were great...RE 0 and Persona 3: FES. Again, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and keep enjoyin' the games! :)

Glad you like everything! I hope you don't mind Clock Tower 3 and Bushido being scratched up like that. I usually wouldn't send out anything in that condition but I tested them before wrapping em up and they both played fine, so I figured it'd be okay.

I was really on the fence about including that Bushido Blade too since it wasn't on your Wanted list, but it looked like you were into fighting games so I threw it in at the last minute. Relieved that you didn't already have it.

It was so hard keeping myself from eating your Pocky though. I just discovered that stuff a few months ago and now I'm addicted!

Nah don't worry bout the scratches, nothing a little disc dr. won't fix! POCKYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!:-P

I still haven't received my SS package - I blame the fact that Canada Post is on strike so everything is delayed. I'm glad the strike didn't delay s1lence's package though.

Grrrr... That's what I get for choosing expensive International Priority shipping. The gift still didn't make it on time. I guess it's not a big deal that you should know I was your secret santa. I'm really sorry it didn't get there on time.

My Secret Santa gift was an Aladdin Deck Enhancer and the games for it, all new in the original packaging.
Thank you Kaedesdisciple, you really outdid yourself!

I got Sonic CD (a nice condition upgrade for me)
Sol Feace SCD (I have it, but that's ok ;)
Legendary Axe TG16 (much, much nicer than my beat up loose copy)
Gates of Thunder/Bonk Turbo Duo CD (my first turboduo game...now I need to find a system!)
and the best of the bunch...Cratermaze TG16 (Can't wait to try it!)

Thanks alot to Press_Start! :D

Your welcome! Cratermaze and Legendary Axe came straight from my collection. I hope you enjoy them. ;)

My SS was Sniderman and here's what I got:

Dawn of Mana (PS2)
Fear Effect (PS1)
candy canes,
candy fruits rolls,
and....a video game ornament.

Besides the "sweet" gifts, its +2 for my collection. But compared to what others got from their SS, I wonder if my list was too specific. :?

Hey, no worries. I blame Canada Post. Those buggers are paid pretty well and have the balls to go on strike. Damn government workers. I'm looking forward to receiving the package though, I'll let you know when I receive it :)

Sorry the shipping was so expensive, but if it makes you feel better the shipping to my recipient was terribly expensive too.

I didn't participate this year either, as I was unsure of how specific people's lists would be. I live in a relatively "dry" area for collecting videogames but after seeing this thread, I'll be in for next year - assuming of course that the monetary situation does not diminish too much before then.

Congrats to all the SS's and their successful Christmases!

Ding ding ding ding ding! I finally got my Secret Santa package, and it's awesome.

I know that Ryaan1234 was my Secret Santa and he was very generous.

My games were all wrapped and they included the following:
Contra (NES)
Donkey Kong 3 (NES)
Android Assault (Sega CD)
Rayman 2 (PC)
The Day (PC) - with a little note saying "it's not day of the tentacle but it's just as good" - I actually read about this in Retro Gamer and it sounded really good. I'm going to rip this to a USB stick and install it to my Asus eee pc :)
AeroWings (Dreamcast)
R-Type DX (GB Color) - complete in box, even included the plastic sleeve for the cart!

I played R-Type DX for a bit and I'm really impressed with it. Pretty tough but I'm surprised they could fit 4 games onto one GBC cart (2 games with 2 variants)

I can't wait to get my NES toploader back from ooXxXoo so I can play Contra and DK 3 - he's installing A/V ports in it.

Anyway, thanks for everything Ryaan1234 - it was an awesome Secret Santa gift package. And thanks to punkoffgirl for running the show. :)

Finally, the package made it! I've been waiting to tell you a neat little story about how I *almost* got you a copy of Day of the Tentacle:

I waited until the final deadline to send off the gift so I could search my local flea market for the games on your list. I've been searching this market for almost 3 years on and off. This market has provided me with a lot of cool stuff, including Earthbound, Glib, and Final Fantasy III. I never leave it empty-handed. So the sunday before the deadline I was scouring the market, looking for the games on your list and I spotted the box for The Day of the Tentacle. Like I said, I've been going to this market once or twice a month (sometimes 3 times) for the last few years and I've never seen a copy of The Day of the Tentacle at this place. Weird, huh?

I was shocked to find that the game was missing 3 floppy discs. I was really pumped to give it to you. Instead I sent you The Dig, which I have played and it's excellent (like all of the Lucasarts adventure games).

Anyways, I'm glad you liked your gift. I'm sorry that it was late (That darn Canada Post!).

Yeah Canada Post is always kind of slow, but this is ridiculous.

That sucks about the Day of the Tentacle, but it's funny that that was the first time you'd seen it in years. Its funny how stuff like that works out. Day of the Tentacle is such a good game that you should try to track down those other three discs and try it out yourself!

My eee pc is the perfect thing for Lucasarts games so I'm pretty psyched out about installing the Dig.

Emuaust was my Secret Santa. I had some trouble in that the package arrived the day before I left for holidays, but I managed to pick it up today just before they shipped it back. Anyways, I got:

- Metroid Zero Mission (GBA)
- Metal Slug Advance (GBA)
- Card Fighters DS
- Sonic Rush (DS)

Thanks!

Late response here. I had to do the 4 christmas' thing.

I'm not sure who may SS was. But they shopped for me like they knew me.

I got another game to add to my treasure collection. Wario World for Game Cube. I've been wanting to pick this up for awhile .

A sealed copy of Capcom Classics Collection for PSP. Sweet.

And a copy of Overlord for NES. I already had the box. Only need 55 NES games now.

Thanks.

Thanks man. Funny thing is, I was just packing up some games with the box you sent (Which I saw was a re-box. Thumbs up for re-boxing.) and I found the note you left inside. I guess I pulled the little kid "What's in the box, what's in the box?"

Thanks again man. Good stuff here. I guess I probably sent you my games to buy 1-1 million list. I was actually just playing the PSP game.
