Otto awards for 2008?

I always look forward to seeing everyone's responses in the best of the year threads here. Any plans to create one this year? I think we're actually done with new releases for the year effective tomorrow (the 29th) and it's highly unlikely anything in that batch would make anyone's "best of" list.

I was actually going to create a thread, then saw this. I wonder what everyone else thinks.

I personally think GTA4 easily. I had no interest or enjoyment in most others. Little Big Planet would take second place.

You know what? I was only thinking of game of the year for "next gen console games." I wasn't thinking of portable games or previous gen games like those on the PS2.

To me, GTA4, LBP, Wild ARMs XF, Persona 4, God of War, Dissidia, Dragon Quest 4 DS, Space Invaders Extreme, Gundam Battle Universe, and Wipeout Pulse are the only ones I've enjoyed enough to actually be nominated for game of the year for me. Too bad Japanese released games don't count, meaning Dissidia and GBU are out. Not that GBU would ever get game of the year if it was up to the US audience, even though it's an amazing game.

HD Remix is up there too, but since it's a remake, I dunno.

I don't think MM9 really counts as WiiWare considering it was on the PSN and Live as well.

True, Mega Man 9 isn't a WiiWare exclusive. I was just listing good Wii games from 2008.
