So I got it today from blockbuster for 24.99 used. It looked complete, and the case it was in, it is apparent that 4 discs are not supposed to fit "comfortably" in there.

Is it 3 discs in the case and 1 in a sleeve, or 2 in sleeves 2 in case, or did I get the shaft on the case?

3 discs in the case, disc 4 in the paper sleeve.

You're a brave soul buying a pre-owned 4 DVD game! Hope everything's in good shape! :)

I normally don't have any problems buying dvd games, but I forgot that this was 4 dvd's.

I know I got an extra sleeve hanging around somewhere. Cool, 3 in the case and 1 in the sleeve.

Now the fun part is to test it.

If this is messed up way, way into disc 4, I am kinda screwed, because I have a 30 day exchange, and there is no way I have enough time to get to disc 3 or 4 in 30 days.

I bought my Lost Odyssey at Target brand new and it had 5 disks in it....all the normal disks 1-4, and a 2nd copy of disk 1. I'm not too impressed with the packaging on this one.

So did yours have 3 discs in the case and 2 in sleeves?

It was three discs stacked on top of each other then another one in a sleeve. What a giant crock of shit on Microsoft's part.

I rented mine from Gamefly, the discs looked pretty worn, but I played it all the way through so you should be ok. Provided it hasn't been chewed to bits.

What sucks is that the Asian English language version only works in NTSC J and PAL systems. Not the US systems. Kindof screwed up.

Only thing I can recommend is to buy the Asian English language version also then switch art and boxes. Well. Either that or buy more cases(or see if any stores have spare cases.) The Asian one would look more legitimate though with everything in one case.

Uh, I asked because the chick at blockbuster did not realize that they all fit into that case, so I got 3 free empty 360 cases. On the bookshelf, they look horrible. I swapped out other games for it, but, since I don't have a good enough printer, I might as well throw an offer out there.

Since I have these cases, anybody want to print out the dvd inserts for the other 3 cases?

You know, it would be lost odyssey disc 2 and so on for these cases.

If I want to get creative, I could keep them separated, or I could glue them together to turn them into a super case or something (but I am not so sure that I want to glue the cases).

So, since it is totally on topic, can anybody print out some lost odyssey inlays or inserts or whatever they are called for dvd's?

If money needs to get exchanged outside of shipping, I will happily throw this up on the buying and selling forums, but until then, who can help me out, I think the case would look totally badass if I had 4 separate cases for it

The US version stacked the discs 1-3 on the spindle. The 4th was in the paper sleeve.

The Asian version has a hard plastic holder that is attached to the spine that holds the discs and there is no sleeve as they all have a holder.

The US got totally ripped off on that one (Blue Dragon, Last Reminant as well)

Since we are talking about Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon now, when I went to Walmart to buy Blue Dragon, the plastic wrapping was just like the reseals Walmart does (wrinkly crap) but it still had the security sticker on the right side of the case. When I bought Lost Odyssey from Walmart it was the same way and so were all of the others in the glass case. Is that the way both games were supposed to be or did I just happen to see 5 or 6 games that people returned?

Yeah, I am going to throw something up on the buying and selling forum to get that, because I know there are some creative dudes with better printers than me

All four discs sit on the spindle quite nicely and although the top disc isn't completely secured, it's secure enough to never fall off inside the box (the thick instruction manual also helps keep it in place). I've got the PAL version which was three discs on the spindle and one in a paper sleeves. As long as you're careful you don't actually need the paper sleeve.

I've just checked it again and the box has to be opened and the disc has to be near vertical before it falls off. I can shake the box when it's closed and everything stays in place; all four discs, secure on the 3 disc middle spindle! :)

Yeah, but even still, 4 dvd cases would also look awesome on my bookshelf
