A couple of years ago, while on break at work, I wandered over to the electronic department at Wal-Mart. Apparently an old copy of FFIX black label had been found and was put back on the shelf on clearance. I paid $20 for it. I thought it was a good deal myself.
I've looked on eBay, but there's one seller listing like 100 auctions for the game BIN for $17.80. I can't believe that despite it's FFIX it still goes for that little.
So tell me, is it that worthless?

They had a GH reprint awhile back along with all of the anthologies - either that or EVERYONE got like 30+ copies of all of them and insta-dumped them into the clearance bins. All the EBs in town had at least 10 of each anthology and FF8/9 in their bins.

Yes. Final Fantasy 7 has a gazillion copies out there and should not sell for how much it sells for based on how many copies are available for it. FF 8,9,10, 11 and 12 all fit the model that FF 7 doesn't fit: they've each sold millions of copies and because you can always find copies(even factory sealed ones) they are not worth much more than an original greatest hit's price. You can usually find them(FF 9) on ebay for $5-20(opened) and factory sealed for $10-30.

I agree that a black label is worth 40 to 60 usd given the quantity of available copies on the actual market and maybe in a few years will be more valuable.
If you want to sell it or list it on ebay, please let us know :D
