Ys Book II, I'm LOST!!

So I finally got my DUO-RX back after a nice RGB mod and it looks amazing!!! Anyhow I am trying to finish my game of Ys book I-II and I can't recall where I was as the guy had my DUO for three months :2gunfire: Now I am at the part where I need to drain the canals. I tried using a guide found on gamefaqs but it is VERY VAUGE to say the least and is of no help. It keeps saying now go back to where you were and left, right... you get the picture. I need to get the Goddess' Silver Pendant, Key of the Water Canal according to the guide as I have the rest of the needed items. I am so close to finishing this game I can't stand it. Anyone got any ideas before I give up and go on to Ys III?

Heh, i can't help specifically, but if i recall, the path you need is actually almost a trick - the path actually looks like a dead end (due to the edge of the screen) but you can continue on. Yeah it's vague, but that's the one thing I remember being annoying about that game.

I don't have the answer, but don't feel bad. I was stuck in the exact same spot a few years ago when I tried to play it through again. I ended up giving up. Gamefaqs was no help then, either.

Yea the arse hole that wrote the guide starts it off saying I am going to be very vauge on this guide and I will not apologize for it and he wasn't joking it simply says stuff like go back to where you came go left, right, up, up down by the purple wall but I am using a EMU so the color palette's are off so it is up to you to find where to go. I mean thanks for the guide but why the hell even bother with it. The guy that wrote book 1 did an awesome job and this guy was saying "I hope to fill the shoes of XXXX and write a guide that is just as good. Oh yea and I am gong to be VERY vauge" What a tool!!!

Gamefaqs can have alot holes there in there walk-through that's for sure.Still if you get stuck again in,Ys watch this youtube user run through on it.

Sweet deal as that never crossed my mind. And I was about to buy a Japanese guide off of Ebay for pics. Thanks you just saved me $30.

Thats a very very common sticking point in the game, I got stuck on it not once but twice when i played through the game years ago, I played through it recnetly on the wii (no load times but still has the awesome music!) and miraculously remebered where to find that freaky green smurf guy with minimal stress ;-)

Well I found a PDF map that has where everything is now so I am good!! I mean this is theonly time I have gotten stuck.

No problem i have the Ys 1,2,3 guide book though it doesn't give maps.It's useful though if you can read japanese,still i just have it for collection sake.
