What's your favorite unlicensed NES game? Bee 52, followed by Klax, Micro Machines, Super Sprint, and Tengen Tetris.

What's the worst one you've played? Action 52 by far. The worst one that I have in my collection is Master Chu and the Drunkard Hu.

Among the bad games, are there any you like to play just for laughs? Master Chu mostly.

What company had the best looking carts? Tengen.

What company had the worst looking carts? Camerica. Honorable mention goes to Color Dreams for the tabs that stick out on the blue carts, which causes them to take up a little more space than your average NES cart. Come to think of it, they earn a mention just for those blue carts.

What was the first unlicensed game you acquired in your collection? Fantasy Zone.

Hmm, this thread isn't as popular as I thought it'd be.

Just so my post isn't completely meaningless (don't feel obligated to answer these):

First Tengen cart I acquired: Fantasy Zone, as mentioned above
First Color Dreams cart: Master Chu and Captain Comic (purchased together with some other NES games from another DP'er)
First Wisdom Tree cart: Spiritual Warfare (first on any system was Joshua on the Genesis)
First Camerica cart: Quattro Sports
First AVE cart: Double Strike (and it's still my only one)

What's your favorite unlicensed NES game?
From what I currently own, Micro Machines. :)

What's the worst one you've played?
Action 52, 52 horrible games in one cartridge. I remember when I found a copy, I never heard of it but thought there had to be at least a couple good games on it. No such luck.

Among the bad games, are there any you like to play just for laughs?
I try not to play too many bad games.

What company had the best looking carts?
Tengen looks alright.

What company had the worst looking carts?
Too many to choose from.

What was the first unlicensed game you acquired in your collection?
I can't remember.

I try to avoid playing too many unlicensed games, most use a voltage spike to get around the lockout chip so I'm nervous of damaging my system. Tengen doesn't so those are fine.

What's your favorite unlicensed NES game?
Ms. Pac-Man.

What's the worst one you've played?
Exodus: Journey to the Promised Land.

Among the bad games, are there any you like to play just for laughs?
Exodus, but I can barely beat the first level before the music gets to me.

What company had the best looking carts?
Tengen.

What company had the worst looking carts?
Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree.

What was the first unlicensed game you acquired in your collection?
Alien Syndrome.

About the voltage spike thing, how does it manage to do that?

What's your favorite unlicensed NES game?
-Tengen's RBI Baseball series

What's the worst one you've played?
-King Neptune's Adventure (Color Dreams). This game completed the trifecta. Terrible graphics, terrible music and such an unfair difficulty that the game is unplayable.

Among the bad games, are there any you like to play just for laughs?
-Deathbots (AVE). I find it hard to believe anybody thought this would sell. Shitty graphics, shitty music and a shitty title. Deathbots? Come on. Additionally, it also has an insane difficulty, much like King Neptune (above), which ensures you will never make a whole lot of progress in the game. Actually that was a very common problem with unlicensed NES games. Most of them are either way too hard or way too easy.

What company had the best looking carts?
-I liked AVE's black carts and the gold Camerica carts.

What company had the worst looking carts?
-Color Dream's games looked cheap, just like "pirated" games. While they weren't the worst, I didn't like Tengen's odd shaped carts. The black color of them was a positive but the size and shape left a little to be desired.

What was the first unlicensed game you acquired in your collection?
-Vindicators (Tengen), which for some reason was one of my little sister's top ten NES games. But I also thought it was pretty fun, certainly not "top ten on the NES", though.

Adding these.......

First Tengen cart I acquired: Vindicators

First Color Dreams cart: King Neptune's Adventure

First Wisdom Tree cart: The one with Baby Moses, excuse me for not remembering the title.

First Camerica cart: Quattro Sports, I used to be really good at the soccer and tennis games in this one.

First AVE cart: Deathbots, traded a friend another NES game (freakin' Double Dragon!) for this when I was in 8th grade and that was a BIG mistake.

About the voltage spike thing, how does it manage to do that?
I'm not sure exactly how, but I saw it mentioned on Wikipedia.
