i have a colortrak tv/rgb monitor that has rgb connect and can't seem to get true rgb out of. it has RED, GREEN, BLUE, SYNC, and ENABLE rca connects. wtf is this enable connector. i hooked up my sega genesis strait to it with rgb and sync and it has a bad pic with rolling sideways image. so i know rgb is enabled. i also have a bought genesis rgb scart cable and a female scart self made cable connecting the cables up with rca connectors to the tv and no go. the sega rgb scart cable sends the composite out (not sysc) with rgb and gives a composite signal to the tv. rgb outs of the cable don't seem to work because i disconnect the rgb cables on the tv and composite is still is whats being displayed...wtf. i sent the genesis 5v to the ENABLE thinking that rgb tvs need voltage to enable rgb and no go. i also read somewhere that rgb tvs may need up to 12v so i connect a universal 12v and no go. i later try things out with 12v connected and start seeing smoke come out so i have turned off tv since. before adding voltage i searched the net high and low for info about colortrak 2000, the enable and if using voltage is safe, with not much results so out of my "wanting to get this f$%$ing thing going" i may have fried things. the tv still works with the composite and antena.i did not try rgb since.
composite is also the same jack that sync is.
any help will be great.

this tv has problems now as i probably damaged it because i was impatient hooking up things wrong. has faint horzontal lines scrolling up with composite picture. actually it had strang picture tube noises coming out from the start so its probable too old. im going to scrap this project.
