View Full Version : How does one get rid of 330 NES carts these days?

I'm really tired of looking at these things. Big lots dont seem to be doing so hot these days. I thought about getting rid of them in chunks, like says 20 for $50, but I figure everyone would want the same 20. Someone suggested mystery boxes, but I cant imagine those being too popular. Any ideas?

You could do 20 for $50 on kijiji or craigslist or anywhere just sell 20 games at a time and don't say you have more. once you sell a lot sell another.

put the list up "with prices" and let the people pick what they want, it took me about 3 weeks too sell 550 carts.........
well good luck with your sale.....

Big lots don't sell, you are right. When I sold my Genesis collection (nearly 400 carts) I went to the extreme and listed nearly 400 ebay auctions! Even with the fees I ended up making out pretty well. But, damn, it took forever to list them all. Turbolister helped...but I never want to do that again!

I would keep the complete games separate from the loose ones(I only saw 2 listed, sell those separately). There doesn't seem to be any extremely rare or valuable carts so there's not really anything to separate out, I didn't see any sports games so that's a plus.

Depends if you want to sell them online or locally, but if you only want about $2.50 a game the games should sell quick in bundles. I had a bunch of loose Genesis games(over 200), and I sold them on craigslist/kijiji priced at $5 each. I sold off a bunch like that, and when I didn't get as many replies I changed it to $5 each/10 for $30. That seemed to be a good price point, I found most people were willing to spend around $30 in one shot. NES should be in higher demand than Genesis so you should have no problems. Even when I offered 10 for $30, there were a couple of people wanting only 1 game(a sports Genesis game). Or see what the local game stores would offer you, some might be willing to buy them for around that much. It really depends on the area too.

I've got about 400 games to sell and yeah, it's tough. One thing I started doing was I would list a buy it now for $2 on ebay and then say "pick a game". I also said they could add additional games to the purchase if they liked. I think I got rid of 50 or so this way before I moved.
