You can easily find a PS3 with PS2 BC for around or below that price used.

The best deal yet on a PS2 BC PS3 was the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle which retailed for around $500 (there were some online deals where you could find them for less - even a $400 special on Amazon at one time) which included a copy of MGS4 and a Dual Shock 3 controller (Taking into consideration that the game retails for around $60, that made the price point of the system around $440)

Yes. Still the most expensive'est of systems, but considering everything that comes standard in-system (Large HDD, WiFi, BluRay) etc. worth the cost of admission.

The $600 price shelf on the PS3 barely lasted a year.

From what I'm hearing those MGS4 PS3's will barely last a year as well. LOL

I thought the PS3 was pretty solid, but I'm starting to hear some bad stuff... Nothing like the 360 but still.
