Hey all.

I bought a Sharp Famicom Twin not long ago and adapted a female port from a Neo Geo extension cord to a port from a dead NES to use NES controllers on the unit and it works fine.

The pinout and capabilities of the port are a bit different than the NES one IIRC.

I know that certain games in Japan such as the Kunio Dodgeball game are capable of using multitaps that add 2 ports via the expansion port. However, I was wondering if anyone knew if it were possible to use two controllers with that port as controller 1 and controller 2 instead of 3 and 4.

This document seems to indicate that the pins are shared for multiple controllers off the port, but that controller 2 seems to have its own set of pins.

Has anyone tried adapting two ports into the 15 pin port? I figured Id ask those who may have tried first before dismantling my adapter.

Any help appreciated.

U can check with Tron (he might be Tron 2.0) on here, he had someone build a port for what I think you are trying to do and it worked.
