For the record, I'm appalled that Animal Crossing even got nominated for this category.
Wii Music, I can agree on at least. Maybe they can save face with a sequel, Warioware: Mii Wusic.

Animal Crossing got nearly universally panned by the press and fans for being, at its core, simply a port of the 2 year old DS game and offered no evolution for the series which was already being labeled as stale. For my money, Wild World is one of the laziest and most insulting moves directed at their dedicated fanbase that Nintendo has made in this generation.

It's still decent, even if it was disappointing. Biggest Flops are one and not the other. There are plenty others listed that qualify.

Space Giraffe was an August 2007 release, what's it doing on the 2008 list?
The PC version was released in '08, yes, but the original release is well over a year old.

I'd argue that most fans had very high expectations for Animal Crossing Wii and expected Nintendo to innovate the series in some really tangable way. Not to mention this was originally a critically beloved series, seen as a unique and distinctive franchise for Nintendo that had a ton of potential.
Instead, we got what we got. As a result, I think it's the very definition of a flop.
