This weekend I found the pictured game at a local Goodwill. It was one that I had loved as a child and was happy to see again. It also got me thinking about these types of portable entertainment, it seems that the Tiger Electronics name is synonymous with these games. Finding out that this one that I liked so much was actually Vtech I was wondering who else put out these kind of games that were worth while? Did Vtech make any others beside Baseball and Football?
I remember having one based on IronSword but cannot recall who made it.
Thanks for listening to me ramble.

Man, I'd KILL to get a battery cover or two for that SAME game. I have two of those Talking Baseball's and neither has a battery cover. Anyone here have the know how to create a good facsimile?
And with this picture, I finally know who produced the football(soccer) game I had as a kid. I loved it!

I also got an american football one too. Both had battery covers that are in great condition (quite a find).
So there is a Soccer one too. I wonder if they did a hockey one?

Thanks, I was quite shocked as well, it only had the littlest bit of corrosion in the battery compartment that when removed looked like new.

Pretty much all of them will have battery corrosion. It seems that if kids don't lose the battery doors, they'll leave the old batteries in for twenty years until it ends up in your hands. I love hunting down old electronic toys, and it's almost impossible to find anything without (A) a missing battery door, (B) severe corrosion from leaky batteries, or (C) all of the above. I just bought a Scrabble Lexor electronic game, and I looked inside - yep, '80s era batteries still inside. I've got some contact cleaning to do.

No, I actually have not been around the immediate area, this was while in Bedford. Is there anything worthwhile locally? As for the find thank you.
