Not by far. I'd like to be able to say, "no, but it's the first POS," but it's not the first one of those either. :)

By the time the Gameboy Color came out, there were plenty of PDAs on the shelves. The Apple Newton, the Palm series, etc.

...and in any case this E.T. productivity software was preceded on the original Game Boy by the Personal Organizer (http://www.allgame.com/cg/agg.dll?p=agg&sql=1:18483) from Infogenius, released in 1991.
