Oh ...
... I was going to say Star Wars The Arcade Game, but you're looking for something modern.
Then again, you can unlock that and the arcade version of The Empire Strikes Back on Rogue Squadron III for Gamecube, and that will play on your Wii.
So. There you go.
Find a used copy of Rogue Squadron III and only play the unlockable versions of Star Wars Arcade and Empire Strikes Back.
(I also really enjoyed Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron in its online mode. Very impressive for the hardware.)
I feel like im going for the obvious one here but... Knights of the Old Republic?
The Battlefront series and Rogue Squadron Series are great
Personal favorite is: Jed Knight:Jedi Outcast ll

Your best bet is gonna probably be (Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron) on psp or (Star Wars Lego: The Complete Saga) for 360 or ps3.
Really though you should just buy Left 4 Dead. :D

One of the Lego Star Wars games. Those are surprisingly fun.
Star Wars Trilogy for Model 3 is my favorite SW title, but you probably won't find that at Best Buy!

I agree with Sega Ages, though I doubt you'll find a copy of Battlefront at Best Buy, so go with Lego or Force Unleashed, both are fun games.

Agreed fun game there that at any age a person can play.

My god I loved that game. :D
I thought The Force Unleashed was pretty good, despite not being a Star Wars fan myself. I'd recommend it if you're into action games.

The Force Unleashed is the only new gen Star Wars game there is really, unless you count the Wii exclusive Duels and the DS companion game. I know you're new but you really should change the title to this thread. And then someone needs to make a "real" Best Star Wars Game thread.

solo: knights of the old republic
co-op: battlefront 2
both are compatible with the 360, but good luck finding them at best buy.

My favourite, by far, has been "Lego Star Wars: The Complete Trilogy." I have it for 360 but I think it's out for everything but PSP. (On the PSP you'd have to get Lego Star Wars II I think, as the original never made it there).
Loads of fun. Tonnes to do if you want to collect everything. And I think nothing is more amusing than seeing scenes from the movies acted out using Lego characters and models.
If you'd want to go with more serious fare, I'd second the KOTOR games. They're not set in the movie universe like the Lego games, but they're a lot of fun if you're an RPG fan.

My favorite is KOTOR because I tend to be more of an RPG player. Runner up is definitely Jedi Outcast, though.

Get Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
Really, all the other Star Wars games are trash. Not that you're going to find anything except the most recent Battlefront games at the stores you're visiting, and even that is doubtful.

I agree with Frankie. Get Rogue Squadron II and III for the GameCube, plus a GameCube controller, and play them on the Wii. Those two games will blow you away.
As others have written, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is great, too.

You know what they say about opinions and @$$holes? Everybody's got one. But seriously, I thought the Force Unleashed was pretty much a waste of time. It was okay, but the controls were SOOOOO annoying that it took the fun out of the game. But my favorite SW game from the last few generations is:
Star Wars: Republic Commando! I loved the squad based play and it was a lot of fun being a character like a Commando, doing all the dirty work for others. Plus it was a cool way to find another parallel story in the SW universe. Lastly, it's backwards compatible on your 360 and only $15 used at GameStop!

-Lego Star Wars II
-Star wars:KOTOR

Basically, to echo what others have written, there are many good Star Wars games out there, but you did not specify what genre you like.
To sum it up:
The best Star Wars game by genre:
Fighting co-op/online: SW Battlefront II (all platforms)
Fun and funny hack n slash: Lego Star Wars (all platforms)
Vehicle simulation: Rogue Squadron II and III (GameCube)
RPG: KOTOR (PC and Xbox)
Learning to be a Jedi: Jedi Academy (PC)

Star Wars Trilogy for Model 3 is my favorite SW title, but you probably won't find that at Best Buy!
Star Wars Trilogy Arcade is my favorite too. Sortof shootem up that brings you throughout the biggest battles in the series. The lightsaber battles own too.
I had a chance at buying the arcade machine for, atleast to me I think, fairly cheap. 650.00 for the cockpit version in very good condition. Retarded that I didn't because I did have the money(and still do have more than enough actually.)
Other than that. I think the Battlefront series are the better ones. Renegade Squadron is really good for how it works, the other ones are really good too. I also liked Shadows of the Empire for N64.
I may be the only one here, but I didn't enjoy Knights of the Old Republic at all. Never played the sequel.
