I have a functioning Atari 7800. Whenever I put a game in, and it takes me to the title screen that shows the Atari logo, the word "Atari" is messed up, with lines running through it. Does anyone know how to fix this? It happens with every Atari 7800 game.

I saw the same problem today on this Youtube video. If you stop the video at 18 seconds you'll see the screen I'm talking about.

I'm assuming you are talking about the horizontal lines running through the Atari graphic? That looks normal for every 7800 I've seen.

Yes, that is what I'm talking about. Maybe it is normal, but I find it hard to believe that it is supposed to look like that. It looks to me like an RF problem.

So it looks like this, right? http://www.atari7800.org/screenshots/Title.jpg
That's a normal 7800 startup screen.

That is what mine looks like. Are you sure there's nothing wrong with it? Those lines, they don't look like they were intended to be there.

Nope, every single Atari 7800 has that as a start-up screen. That's the design they came up with, a different take on the Atari logo. There's nothing wrong with your machine.

Every NTSC 7800... there's no startup screen on the PAL model.
