Just bought a trackball for playing through BreakQuest (http://www.nurium.com/) again, and it made me nostalgic for arcade games that used a trackball. All I can think of off the top of my head are Centipede and Millipede, and some golf games, but I know there have to be many more. Is there a comprehensive list of these anywhere?

I don't know if it's complete but should keep you buisy for a while.
Edit---
Nope, says on the bottom of the page that it's not complete.
You can also do a search on www.klov.com
Search for trackball and click "Search Game Descriptions"

Thanks, Wikipedia exceeds my expectations once again. Dunno why I assumed they wouldn't have a list.

I believe MAME32 has a list as well. Of course it will only show MAME compatible games.

Irritating Maze on Neo Geo has compressed air jet to add to the um,.. irritation.
I've seen pictures of the dedicated cabinet, but never seen one in real life. I can't imagine there are any still surviving in the UK?

I've got a Track and Field machine in the basement that I recently got going again. Two trackballs for two players at a time.
Any way to make the track balls slide easier? I'm getting blisters from trying to run faster.

I didn't know you could play track & field with a trackball.

yeah, i believe there was a "pound the buttons really really fast and loudly" version and also a "wildly spin the trackball until your skin comes off" version.

Yeah, I don't know exactly when, but they made a trackball version after the button version gained a ton of popularity.
I've lost a good deal of feeling in my fingertips in the past couple days. Hopefully I can build up come callouses soon. The design wouldn't be that bad if the surface where the buttons lay wasn't sandpaper like plastic and bolts weren't coming coming out of the sides of the trackball about a half inch from the ball.
Every time you swipe you sand your fingers and bump them on the bolts. And if you get really into it (like me) you end up hitting your hand on the end of the cab as well because you have a follow through with your swipe across the ball.

Last night I was at the arcade down by the beach front and they've put some new cabs in since last time. One of the new comers was Capcom Bowling. I have the PCB thanks to one of the DP members, but have yet to get that chance to play until last night. They had installed what appears to be a newer trackball with a smooth marble detail. I haven't played too many bowling games but this one is full of good times. I need to get a machine with a trackball for bowling/golf arcade game setup.
