My real passion is 3DO (and one day I'll get it all together and post some pics), but I do collect for other systems as well.
Below are pictures of some of my NES collection. I wanted to post some pictures of some of my early/first generation NES games and hardware.
Everything pictured below is factory sealed / never opened / never used.
There are two M9 display's with their factory boxes complete with all inserts, etc.
There is an M8 system. (This is the only item not factory new, but it is in pristine condition and fully functional).
Two NES Deluxe systems never used / factory sealed.
ROB accessory never used / factory sealed.
Nintendo Repair Manual and an Official Nintendo Player's Guide.
And finally, an assortment of first generation black box NES games all factory sealed.

Probably a stupid question but what's that monstrous thing the zapper is sitting on top of holding the controllers?

That is an M8 store display unit where a customer could choose from a selection of games to sample.

Lol, same here! These pictures bring back some memories. Unfortunately, at the display at the store where I played it (the now defunct retailer called Venture) the game select button was always broke:( Anyway, thanks for the cool pics Bitrate!

I remember those plastic display cases in Toys R Us. I bet there are some in a landfill somewhere with my faceprint and drool marks on them.

Lies! The R.O.B.'s are looking in two different directions! Someone has been tampering.
Congrats by the way. Cool stuff, more pictures to come? :)

Haha such a reasonable request, considering he didn't even pull out the 3DO stuff which is "his passion".

Thanks for the kind responses guys :)
It took a long time to get all of that together. Still a lot missing from where I would like to be with the early gen NES collection, but I haven't really been focusing on it for quite a while.

I have quite a bit more NES stuff, some TG16, some Saturn and Dreamcast, and a few other things as well.
But the pride of my collection is a huge mass of everything 3DO. Unfortunately, there is so much 3DO crap that I have to store it in many many boxes (and even some of it is offsite) so it will be a challenge to get it together for a photo shoot ( plus, there aren't that many 3DO fans anyway :) ).

Haha, you got me. Actually, the person who built those rigs for some reason tilted the heads differently.
It's also possible that they shifted position during shipping I suppose (although I think that they may be locked into position - need to take another look).

Do those M8 store display units pop up on eBay? How much do they usually sell for?
