I buy and sell 360 systems on a fairly regular basis so I'm constantly upgrading my "keeper" system as I get better and newer systems in. This week I was finally able to snag an Elite system that I can swap for my Pro. I was pretty pumped about this until I turned it on: it is really freaking loud. It's not the disc drive either, it's all fan. I normally watch TV at about 10 volume, but I had to turn it up to 20 when this thing was on.
I guess my first question is, what the heck? Why is it so loud? I've probably run about twenty systems and none of them have been this loud, even a launch system. The Elite is a Zephyr made in March of 2007 if that matters.
Secondly, is there any reason to keep this system and not just swap the 120 gb for my 20 gb HDD? I prefer the look of the white, they both have HDMI and Zephyr boards, and the white is about 8 months better on the warranty front. On the other hand I feel bad about breaking up the Elite package, and my Pro has a crappy eject button.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Jokes? I've got one! Two hats are sitting on a coat-rack. One turns to the other and says, "I'll stay here, you go on a head." Buh-dum!
