X-arcade?

How is the x-arcade out of the box on games like Pac-man that use a four way stick? I'm thinking of getting a good stick for my mame, but I don't want to get one if it's really hard to play games like pac-man with it. So any information on this would be helpful. I did a search, but couldn't find many recent reviews for it. Thanks

Never had a problem with it... and it's not a huge deal to flip it to 4 way if you really want to (so I hear, never had to myself)

I find it to be rough, but maybe it's because we didn't use it enough to be broken in. I saw the difference when we found a Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga anniversary cab on free play and spent an evening playing Galaga. It just wasn't the same on the x-arcade with Namco Museum PS2.

There are occasions when using it with Mame that moving it in a diagonal direction will cause movement in a 4-way only game to stop dead ... but when you get the feel for it it's perfect.
