In order to make my Space Invader Collection project viable, I am now looking for used common Coleco cartridges. In trade I will offer discounts or ever a free SIC game package.
The whole thing would work this way:

10 used Coleco cartridges - a free SIC game.
Less than 10 used cartridges - a proportional discount on SIC (for example, 5 used games - 50% discount).

But please note I will just accept ColecoVision cartridges made by Coleco itself, with the plastic shell in good condition. The game don't need to be working, neither the label need to be in good condition.

Please mail me for more details.

How hard would it be to mold your own cases? You wouldn't have to own your own injection molding factory. I know they sell resin kits that are inexpensive to make your own plastic part reproductions. Hobby shops sell these but you could buy larger kits cheaper elsewhere. I know this is more work involved but it seems it's about 1000x easier than programming a game and easier than trying to scrounge used commons from around the globe.

Hi Eduardo!

It's a good idea to offer a "discount" for each used coleco cartridges.

But I have a question for you. You didn't find someone to do brand new plastic casings?

He did, but the turnaround time is unacceptable and we won't have them "in hand" in time to produce cartridges for Classic Gaming Expo. So that remains a future plan and the recycle plan is "plan B", already in progress :)

Good!

I hope you will be able to find enough used cartridges ... in time for the Classic Gaming Expo.

Hey Eduardo! Good Luck!

Hi everyone!

I have tried hard to have new shell cases to this release, but unfortunately the time necessary to manufacturing was too long to be feasible...
I looked for someway to do it at home too, but wasn't able to find any available here [in Brazil]...
Destroing old carts to make new ones is something that bother me a lot. I still think any "retro" game is more worth, more valuable than mine. But as much as I regret to take this "destructive" route, I have realized sometimes one needs to keep with his/her previous decisions. I simply don't want to delay this game anymore, because I keep changing it, adding things, and it's taking my time and attention away from other projects...

Hey Eduardo! Good Luck!

Thanks Daniel! I will need...
Fortunately I have already received a few good offers!! :D
