Greetings folks, while unpacking an old box of games for our store down here in Corpus Christi, TX. I noticed my old Telegames Dina 2-in-1 system and wanted to show it to my employees. As luck sometimes happens it appears that a former employee may have mislocated the A/C power supply to the unit.

Do any of your folks out there that own a Dina mind letting me know the specs of the Telegames Dina 2-in-1 Power supply. I have been reading on the internet about it but I cannot get a definite answer for...

Voltage ?

Amps ?

Polarity of the Plug (Tip - or +)?

Company that made it if necessary for me to find another one in case it is not a generic power supply.

Can I trouble any of you Dina owners for the information or a snapshot of the back of the A/C adaptor so I can educate my staff on this unique system.

Thank you so much!!

Marco

I had heard on the internet someone mentioning that they opened one and it looks like it ran on 5V, do you know if any of you Dina owners can confirm or deny this? I would really like to get this machine back up and running but dont want to fry my system on guesswork.

Thank you so much!

[SOLVED] Well after a lot of searching I was able to get a picture of one from the chase the chuckwagon site that showed the info I needed. I appears the Bit adaptors outputted 3 outputs +5 +12 -5 on the same AC adaptor.

Since the adaptor did not have a polarity diagram I tried both Tip + and Tip -, the Telegames Dina appears to use the not quite as standard Tip + polarity rather than the Tip -.

Since the adaptor had +12 on it and +5 I figured it would be safe to feed it +5, which did not work, I then used the switch on my multi adaptor to go to 6, then 7.5 volts to no avail.

I finally tried 9 volts and got Meteor Shower to work!

I then tried a Colecovision cart, and it did not work. I then got a 9V adaptor with a high amp rating to see if it works.

I was able to get it to work correctly with Colecovision carts and the internal game with:

9V DC Adaptor
+ Tip Polarity
1300 milliamp (1.3 amps)

Does anyone know if this is correct? It appears to work fine. I do not have a Sega SG-1000 cart to test with so it is possible that the cart for that slot may need more amps, but it appears for now to work great!!

If anyone can let us know if this is a dangerous configuration please let us know!
