Note that this is the RETAIL publisher. In other words, any digital sales (Steam, the 2D Boy website, Wii, etc) did not go to them.
That being said, this is not surprising.

Huh, wild. I didn't know there was a physical publisher for them, I only knew of getting it directly from 2D Boy (i did!), Steam (for $5 cheaper just a few weeks later? CURSES!), or Wii (BIG SCREEN!).

Yeah, i didn't know it was availible in brick and mortar. That's probably why they went out of business...

I bought the WiiWare version, so developer 2D Boy got my money.
Brighter Minds Media published the computer CD-ROM version (Windows XP, Vista, and Macintosh):
