Last year was a blast (as were the years before that).
Can't wait to go again:

March 13th through the 15th? Three days. I've got to be off work for one of those days, at least. I'll be there.
i'm planning on going as well. I went last year (1st time I've been), and had a lot of fun. Long live Pinball!

I have to work that weekend, but plan to be there Friday.
Can't wait to see(and play) the best pinball around!

Well, this one's coming up at the end of next week. I should be able to make it, since I'll be on vacation next week (and probably out of town for the early part of the week). I'll remember to bring my camera this time.

If any DP'ers want to get together for lunch on Saturday, there's a Whataburger easily within walking distance of the convention.

I was hoping more Texans would be excited to go to this. I guess I was wrong.

I think anyone within 3 hours would want to go to this. More than 100 pinball machines and video games set on free play. It only costs $15 to get in.

I'll probably be making a short appearance there. A couple of friends of mine have a booth this year, so I'll be helping them out.

I think I might go tomorrow, since my brother will be off work. And I'm not going to bother with the weekend pass, since I'll inevitably have to work on Sunday, even though I requested it off.

I just got back from the pinball festival and am going again tomorrow when it opens at 10:00. I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing Baby Pac-Man. They had Dig Dug, Warlords (cocktail), and Marble Madness. Most of the rest of the machines were pinball, and they had plenty of great ones, including the new Indiana Jones and my all-time favorite pinball machine: Universal Monsters. I'll post photos from the fest in a day or two.

Years ago I missed my chance to try out Baby Pac-Man, and I finally got the opportunity to play it. First off... what hardware is running the video game portion of the machine? That part looks positively primitive, and when a few ghosts and Baby Pac-Man were on the same scanline, there was flickering. I've never seen flickering in any Pac-Man arcade version, so that stood out.
Had a lot of fun. I didn't realize how much time I had spent in there until I left and saw that it was pitch black outside! Man, time goes fast when you've got so many pinball games to occupy your time.
Ran into 98PaceCar, and chewed the proverbial fat until my mouth got dry as a bone. One or two other people looked vaguely familiar, like I had seen them at some other game expo in the past, but I didn't see anyone else I knew. I put a lot of time into that Defender cocktail cabinet, along with the Gyruss cab, but the day was about pinball, and I played a hell of a lot of it. They even had a new pinball table based on the latest Batman film, The Dark Knight. That made me happy, just to know that there's still a few new pins being built in this day and age.
