I don't own an iPhone, but i know a lot of people do. And i know a lot of them are sick of paying 99 cents for "quality entertainment". I mean, come on... this stuff should be free.
Some of the quality games are selling for an outrageous $10! Now the users have the power to show all of those money hungry app developers that we're not going to take DRM anymore!
iPhone hackers have finally released Crackulous. It lets you crack any paid app from the iPhone's App Store.
Features:
* Full GUI version of xCrack! No Complications!
* Crack Applications from the App Store! Share them with the community!
* The ONLY Application of its kind!
* The most POWERFUL and EASIEST to use application!
* Crack multiple apps at one time!
* It’s free! Why would we charge?
You can download it Here (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=126890)
Let's show these money hungry developers that we're not going to pay 99 cents for applications on our $200 cell phone!

edit - I really wanted to try to parody you in an extremist way for a reply, but I doubt I could do it very well. I'll let someone else attempt (most likely unsuccessfully) to do it.

I was thinking. Why would he promote piracy at all? Especially when you were posting about hating it.
After that I scrolled back up and thought about it and hovered over the link only to see a http://www.digitpress.com link to where it would send me. Clicked it and landed in the same place I assumed it'd take me.
I wouldn't pick an iphone up. I'm one who would think phones off less to hardcore gamers than any other system on the market.

I've read that Apple is considering having really huge games for the iPhone/iPod Touch that will cost $19.99. I'm not sure how many they'll sell at that price, since so many of the reviews in the iTunes App Store tend to whine about any program over 99¢ (and usually doing it with no punctuation or capitalization whatsoever).
I have an iPod Touch, and I've got a whole bunch of games and apps for it. So many that I've had to pare down my selection just to be able to put music and podcasts on the thing. And a few of them are free apps, but the majority are those I paid for, sometimes up to $8. And yet I never whined in reviews that they were too expensive.
I hope that Apple comes up with new firmware to defeat Craculous soon. Nowadays every damn kid thinks that they shouldn't have to pay for anything, since they download all their movies, games, and music illegally online. Fuck those little bastards, make 'em pay.

What, people stopped posting in your piracy thread so you wanted to get it some attention again? Sheesh.
I thought we weren't supposed to discuss piracy on these boards, yet you constantly promote discussion about it. I don't get it.

I don't know how people can look at someone who calls himself "ProgrammingAce" and think they've discovered sometihng unique when they point out he has an oversized ego.

I never even heard of Crackulous until I saw this thread. I did some quick research on it and it's not freeware, Crackulous is being sold for $10 each(unless you pirate it). I guess if you actually bought Crackulous you'll be directly supporting a programmer. LOL

Are there really people that want to pirate iPhone games?
Most of the good stuff is free ... or less than $5.

A pirating app you pay for.
Don't they put you in jail twice for that?

As an indie game developer, piracy hurts people like me. It's also a serious downer knowing that people have pirated my game (Especially since I spent 4-5 months making my most recent one for iPhone/iPod touch and 2.5 years on my retro side scrolling game for Mac). Posts about piracy should be avoided. It ultimately hurts the developer in the end.

ProgAce posted it as kind of a joke.

First, off in order to use Crackulous you need to PURCHASE the game in order to crack it, it's meant for people who want to distribute cracked games. Now, Installous on the other hand is a different story....
Better to be a pirate than to join the navy (Steve Jobs)
Steve Jobs was up in arms when hackers hacked the iPhone, maybe he'd forgotten he and his friend Woz did the same (Blue Box).

Well, yeah i agree that its bad, however many people that are like me like to preview and buy their games since they respect the developers and their effort...
But yes pirating software is not legal and should be avoided=\
Dude your first post and you are bumping a 6month old thread?

I hope he dies really ironically. Like say... choking on a canned pork byproduct.
