Check it out, it's a Guitar Hero clone for the NES: http://www.dpadhero.com/

The track selection is a bit limited though :)

That's pretty cool. Have you had a chance to play it thus far? I'm curious as to how the gameplay is.

What will they think of next! GTA IV for the Master System ;) Fable 2 for the NES, or they could just add a dog to Zelda and save a while!

I've played it only for a brief time. I don't have a two button gamepad for my PC right now, and playing with the keyboard is really hard. You have to always press either A or B, and sometimes a direction on the d-pad simultaneously. There are no difficulty levels so I find it pretty much impossible. I'm not much of a rhythm game player though.

It's awesome! Plus it has my favorite MJ song in it, plus free=instant win!

D-Pad Hero is an interesting play on the name, the songs are classics, and it looks nice too! If I was able to get it on a cart to play on the NES, I am sure it is a game that I would play often.

Don't forget about Shredz64, Guitar Hero for the Commodore 64. :)

It's always nice to see new ideas get a classic spin on things, the C64 Guitar Hero is pretty damn rad. I always loved the music for C64 games as a kid, especially the music that would play on pirate copies of games, I remember loading up games from my brothers collection and just let the music play for a while.

Nice finds guys.

I prefer the Shredz64, at least you can use a PS2 Guitar, and the C64 always had better sounds than the NES.
actually, I love the PSX - 9 pin joystick adapter, very cool, I want

I downloaded this game after work and loaded it on my PowerPak. Pretty neat game but extremely tough. If the arrow symbols had colors, I'm sure somebody could hack a guitar hero controller to use with the NES. :)

Cool to see the C64 game. I have wished for some time someone would do this for the NES with real nsf tunes. I'm surprised the c64 was done first, but I suppose it is more technically feasible. NES version, please, with Powerpack support for nsf storage!
