What's a 64DD + all games worth?

I'm thinking of picking one up soon, and the place I'm looking is charging about $700.

If that includes the second Doshin game and Japan Pro Tour Golf 64, then take it, take it now! If not, then pass, that's a bit overpriced... remarkable considering I got my 64DD and the seven "common" programs for $300 a number of years back.

The prices on Doshin 2 and Japan Pro Golf Tour have come down alot, actually. There was a Pro Golf on Yahoo Auctions that didn't sell for weeks at ~22000yen, and a Doshin 2 that didn't sell for a while at 13000yen.

I'd say $700 is a decent, middle of the road deal. If it's a non-Randnet model then it's a better deal!

It might not include those games, actually. It might just be the set of common games, I could see them not knowing about any more. Is there a complete list of released DD games anywhere? I can't even find a N64DD section in the online rarity guide.

I'm sure it's the randnet edition, because it's in a plain cardboard box.

If I decide it's not worth getting it from this store, what are my other choices for finding a 64DD? For-sale threads on a couple forums? The units on eBay right now seem to be a little more expensive after shipping.

Actually, that Doshin 2 that wasn't selling is still on Yahoo Japan, ending today and currently under 10000 yen. It's got Doshin 1 & 2...

If it doesn't have the two rarities it's definitely not worth $700. They seem to end all the time under 40,000 on Y!J like that (usually closer to 30,000), which even with fees and shipping keeps you way below $700.

I think your best route for geting one is via sale threads or proxy services from Japan.

The $650 set was all the common games + shipping box. The had a few $550 sets with all common games (nearly all games were sealed). I picked one of those up. Still pricy, but it was really convenient to see the stuff in person before buying it, and I don't need to wait on shipping

Now for $550 I think that's a good deal for you. It's always worth buying in person!

I do recommend tracking down a copy of Japan Pro Golf Tour, BTW. It's good fun!
