Hey, my Saturn's internal memory keeps wiping it self. I can save a game on to it but after a while (the time seems to differ for each game) if I check the memory the save file has gone. To boot it has also seemed to have ruined my memory cart which now asks for it to be formatted. Any ideas?
Also it keeps wanting to be set the time and date, though this has been happening for a while it's never been a problem.

Most people here probably know better than me, but it sounds like you need a new internal battery.

Gunface is right. It needs a new internal battery.
Open the cover on the back of the console and you will see the internal battery in there. You can pull it out and get a replacement from radioshack for a couple of bucks.

CR2032 batteries. Just had to buy some for my Saturn last week. You can pretty much buy them anywhere.

as my dad used to say "Batchrey"
Take the battery out, bring it to Radio Shack, show it to the clerk and say "gimme one of these"

oh god no disregard that previous statement dont rely on a radioshack employee to get anything right! At the very least confirm after he has given you the product that its correct.

Like Norkusa said, you need a CR2032 battery. 7-11 carries them in a lot of countries. You can get them almost everywhere.

I could be wrong, but your memory module may need a battery also.

Well I replaced the battery and its stopped asking me for the time n date so it seems to have worked! Thanks :)
I hope it doesn't! Is that easy to replace?

No idea...
Why not crack a memory cart open and see if there's a battery inside? I could do it... but I'm way too lazy for that! :D
