i have a tv that i think only supports 50Hz, and im planning on getting a 360 tomorrow,, my question is will call of duty 4 run on a 50Hz tv??

50 Hz NTSC? I've never heard of such a thing. If it's just standard PAL-50 you'll be fine.

yeah i live in the uk so its going to be a Pal xbox and a PAL tv which just supports 50Hz,,,,
so i will be fine then??

As long as you buy the PAL version of the game, yes.

Just to reitterate, PAL games work on PAL consoles on PAL tv's... pal

This is not always true there have been a few games that will run at 60 hz only therefore not playing on all pal TV's.
Cod 4 is a 60hz only game, or at least thats what the pacakaging states in PAL Land, it may work but more then likely wont.
The reason that this is happening more and more is so PAL gamers dont have to wait for 50hz conversions, delaying the release of the game.
(Edit.) Infact after testing on an old TV the answer is no it wont work unless your tv is 60hz compatible.

Huh, interesting... i thought the encoder could change 50/60 Hz on the fly.
