I have had some pretty frustrating video game purchases as of late, and I would love to hear from others on how mad and frustrated they have become on trying to complete a set and or collection of games. Here is my story: I am trying to complete my first entire game collection, so I choose and easier one....the sega 32X. Boy was I wrong! I also am going for complete games, so my quest became a little more difficut. The funny thing is that my awsome wife got me Web of Fire complete at good ol half.com for my birthday in April. This gave me an entire collection complete except for one frigging game, World Series Baseball starring Deion Sanders. Upon passing up a web site that listed it for over 25.00(sheesh), I scored a lot on ebay that (supposedly) had it complete. After 3 weeks, I feel that my purchase is in distress and I feel that my money would have been better in the toilet. Dang those mid 90's crappy sports titles that nobody cares about but completists!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @_@

I have yet to get a complete collection. I figured game.com would be very easy, but I'm still having a hard time even finishing THAT one. I'd say I'm probably closest to completing Intellvision at the moment, but the last 10-15 I need are gonna be pretty tough.

I pity the poor soul who attempts a complete PSX collection.

I've been collecting for almost 7 years now and I still don't have a complete collection of anything. I'm only 90-95 carts away from completing my NES collection, and even though I have most of the R and ER titles, I figgure it'll be at least another couple years untill its finnished. Just gotta get off my butt and force myself to do it.

I'm only one game away from having a complete US Virtual Boy collection (Jack Bros.) and two titles from having a complete US & Japanese collection. Need Virtual Bowling to complete that one, but it look's like It'll never happen. Although I love the system to death, I'll be damned if Im going to spend $1000+ on a fucking Virtual Boy cartridge.

Hell, I'm not even having any luck STARTING an Atari 2600 collection. Search a gigantic flea market today, couldn't find one system older than an NES, and not many of those. I might have to resort to EBay. :(

The system I've got the most games for is N64 (32 games), but as you know - that's only about 10% of the total releases. :/

I think N64's a good console to try and complete for, because:

1. The total amount isn't ridculous (about 300), like the 2600 or PSX.
2. Games are still common, aside from the 'rental only' games.
3. Prices aren't too bad.

I'm having one hell of time completing a Dreamcast collection. For the life of me I can't find a deal to save my soul. I only need around 30 games, but the only place I can fine 'em is on E-bay and I'll be damned if I play $6 to ship one CD.

I'm one away from a complete 7800 set (F18 Hornet) and 2 away from a complete UK NGPC set (Dive Alert Becky and Neo 21). Fortunately I should be getting the NGPC games very soon and hence have my first complete collection done! 8-)

After that, who knows... I think I only need one of John Donzilla's Vectrex carts and VecBoxing to have everything Vectrex related (between originals and Sean's multicart); C64 isn't that gap filled now, less than 20 I'd say from what I know of; and my Vic20 is probably at around 50% and rising all the time (nearly all of them CIB too!).

The NGPC has been frustrating quite a bit because of the price hikes recently and the increased demand. Plus the fact the two I need aren't that rare but for some reason still incredibly hard to find copies going for sale...

I'm trying to get a complete european 32X collection, but BC racers and Darxide are impossible to find. The last darxide I've seen was on ebay about a year ago, where it went for over 350 bucks. And I'm certainly not going to pay that.

Completely different game than Funky Bowling. Looks real killer too. Guess Nintendo didn't bring it to the US because they didn't see the point in having two bowling games for the VB.

The only system I have complete is for the 32x... and it really isn't "complete" per say... to be truly complete, i'd need a copy of each game from each region. i've got all the games, but not one from every region, and the japanese games are very hard to find. romance of the 3 Kingdoms 4 was a bitch, as was DarXide.

I'm about 60 games away from a complete us Saturn collection... mostly sports games. i've gotton all the good ones now. i picked up NBA Jame TE at a flea market this weekend for $1 :D

LONG way to go for NGPC, TG-16, and N64

I'm trying to complete a Capcom collection. You can complete collections that aren;t just systems.

I'm 2 away from all the SNES games (Captain Comando, MM 7). As far as Mega Man goes, I'm not paying 35 dollars for a game I've seen 5 times int he past year.

I'm 4 away from all Capcom NES titles (MM 5, Rescue Rangers 2, Ducktails 2, Snow Brothers)

I'm 3 from complete Genensis (Chiki Chiki Boys, Strider 1 & 2(even though the later was released by U.S. Gold, it is still Capcom))

I have most of the rarer stuff (except Fox Hunt, I'll never have Fox Hunt :( )
I'm kin of slacking of on the PS One stuff because most of it still cost way to much.

I haven't yet completed a collection, but I am working pretty heavily on my NES collection. I don't really mind if the game is complete with box and instructions or not, I'd just love to have the game and be able to play them. I'm only around 230-games in so far, so many more to go! If collecting is this much fun, I NEVER want to complete it!
