Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but...my bro found a CIB Sega Sports Genesis 2 at a local Goodwill, he forgot to ask how much they wanted for it, as it was in a glass display with no price tag, and I was wondering if it would be worth picking up. I'm currently collecting for the Genesis, and I wasn't sure if the Sega Sprots Gen 2 is worth getting or what a good price for it would be.

Ask this in the "What's It Worth" forum right here.

I'd figure a mod would move this over there instead of locking it but I could be wrong. Thus I'll type my reply here.
I actually got a CIB Sega Sports Genesis 2 from Goodwill around Christmas time myself. What do I think?
1. It really isn't worth more than a regular Genesis 2, aside from the fact it is boxed. No cosmetic differences that I ever noticed.
2. If I were you, I'd probably pay $20 or less. Mine was originally $15 but it got picked up on half price day so the total was only $7.50 before tax.

What he is referring to is a plain old Genesis 2 in a "sports" bundle. It originally came boxed with one of the Joe Montana Football games, NFL 94 I believe. Same system, slightly different packaging.

Bangtango is right $20 seems about right. Having multiple versions a boxed system look really cool on a shelf, even the sports versions. Gosh there were were so many pack-ins with the Genesis 2. My favorite is the Streets of Rage 2 pack-in.
