Need some help here. The used Xbox that I picked up recently has it's parental settings enabled. For some strange reason, I CAN play Morrowwind, Black (!!!) and Halo...but can't play any LucasArts games without a popup telling me that I can't play this disc due to parental settings. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of the enable, since it wasn't my doing and obviously don't have the previous owners code? I wish that people would have the common courtesy to strip consoles of information before they trade them in.

It's my understanding that stores are suppose to wipe all the data from the hard drives before reselling them. Give me a few minutes and I'll be right back with an answer on how to reset it.

Try this: Go to "Settings" and highlight the "Parental Control" option. Press X, Y, Left Trigger, X, at the passcode screen to reset the parental control setting to the default value.

I got this off of a google search:

Reset the parental lock code:

From the XBOX dashboard screen, go to settings and then parental control.

When prompted for the password, perform the following sequence using the XBOX controller: X, Y, Left Trigger, X.

Enter in a new password, or disable parental control entirely.

EDIT: Vector beat me to it. Interestingly enough, both my Xbox manual and dvd remote manual said to call customer support if you ever lose your password. Thats odd considering the PS2 has a code right in the manual to reset it's parental controls.
