Today I succeeded in racking up quite a deal with a couple of stacked promotions and sales at Toys 'R' Us. Here's what I purchased:

DS lite System/Guitar Hero: On Tour bundle (retail $179.99, clearance $149.98)
Guitar Hero: Decades for DS (retail $39.99, sale $19.99)
Official brown "leather" carrying case for the DS Lite/Guitar Hero bundle (retail $19.99, clearance $9.98)

If you buy any DS system plus one game and one accessory, you get 25% off the entire purchase. Check.

On top of that, their current President's Day promo takes an additional 20% off of clearanced items (with prices ending in an 8 or 0) ... and it stacks with the 25% off promo. It all rang up in their computer so I didn't even have to haggle. Score!

Total price for a new DS lite GH edition bundle, with GH:D and a case? $107.21 + tax. That's $22 less than the regular price of the basic DS lite.

Thanks for the heads up, but a little more warning would have been nice since the sale ended yesterday, 3 minutes after you posted.

TRU now has the same deal on PSP's if you're interested, though. I already have one so I passed. The sale is a buy a PSP, game, and accessory and get 25% off the total.

•I didn't know how long the specific deals were valid, and
•The people in Mountain and Pacific time still had an hour or two left to shop before their stores closed for the night,

Dammit. Looking for a DS as I spilled drink all over mine one day. Amazing deal and I missed out :(
