I saw on the Neo-Geo forums where they pulled off such a discounted purchase on the east coast and in the south. I'm not currently a member on their forum, but was wondering if there would be interest here for a similar purchase in the midwest. I have been emailing the folks at coinopexpress about bulk pricing for a New Astro City cabinet. Would another cab be a better choice, value-wise? I also see people mention Egret 2, but that's almost double the price.

The Neo-Geo deals needed 25+ people, but I was told by coinopexpress that I only need to purchase 18 to qualify for a bulk price. I'm waiting to hear back as to what the price will be per cabinet so that gives me time to see if it's even feasible. I have plenty of room to hold them in the back of my store so they wouldn't have to be picked up immediately.

Any other questions, ideas, or feedback on this?

I'd be concerned about people paying and actually picking up the order.

I'm sure he'll require payment before he pays the wholesale guy, and that he's just going to hold the cabs- people will want to pick them up since they already paid. IDK how much they'll be per unit, but if they're $1000 I don't think he would even consider fronting $18,000.

I'm sure he would but I'd bet that at least one person will try to back out after the order is placed. Also I would think that it could take 5-6 months for everyone to pick them out.

Obviously, payment up front would be required. The neo-geo forum thread I followed had the cost at about $475 shipped for each person. I'm waiting to see if it could even be cheaper.
