It's an early arcade shooter (and later NES port, but I haven't played that) with lots of inertia on the main ship. I find it somewhat fun to play for the interesting scoring mechanism. I think this is a love-it-or-hate-it game, although I tend to do both at the same time.

I like it. I've only played the version on my nes multicart but it is probably my favorite on it. I would say that it is a love it or hate it game- the enemies and the game itself are cheap.

I used to own an Exerion cabinet, although I never really played it much.
It's definitely a solid shooter for its time, but not really my cup of tea.

I used to play this game a ton when it replaced my beloved Space Invaders machine at the local Mom & Pop store. The whole "momentum" thing made you need to anticipate your movement, and having 2 types of shots (one to build up your rapidfire, etc.) that you had to use strategically made it pretty unique. Although as a kid the main thing that struck me at the time was how the enemies kept getting bigger LOL

One of the best fixed screen nes shooters period! I love me some Exerion.

This is pretty much my opinion full on. It's an excellent game, and I'll add it's cheap in only the good ways if that makes sense.

I think it's a fairly average shooter with an interesting perspective that's negated by repetitive gameplay, and I have no strong feelings about the game one way or the other SO MUCH FOR YOUR THEORY MISTER SMARTY-PANTS

You haven't played it for a long time and / or for scoring so your opinion is void. Oh snap!!1
