Can anyone that collects LCD handhelds explain why this is worth so much? I've sold a few Tiger LCD games before and they usually only go for $10-$20 loose and maybe double that if they're new & sealed. Was this a special mail-order only offer from Life cereal or something?

It must be something special since someone has another one with a BIN of $399.

I think they priced it at $399 because they saw this one sell for $306. It was just listed today too.

Must have been some special mail-away Life promo like Chase The Chuckwaggon. Unless there's an underground group of hardcore Inspector Gadget collectors that get in bidding wars over stuff like this.

Some discussion about it here.. I guess it looks like it's Inspector Gadget fans that are wanting it.

And the admin Rik posted this quote from a bidder: "
"Hello Rik---I have been collecting Inspector Gadget for a long time, that was the only time I had ever seen this game actually up for sale, I'm sorry to have been outbid---It was a premium only offered by sending away for it through a Life cereal box offer"

Being that it was a cereal offer, that would make them rare. Finding a sealed one would be even harder I imagine, since if you are going to take the time to order one, you probably want to play with it. "
