while i was moving i found some old boxes and to my supprise it was all my old nes snes and sega games from when i was growing up. just remembering all the good, bad, and frusterating times i had playin them i couldnt not pop them in play them, and loved it. so i've recently gotten into collecting and playin old school games. so being new to the classic gaming scene i was just wonderin what i need to know, (that's right im a noob to this stuff, a noob askin for help) first off what the best way to store my games so that they stay nice clean and stay playable? where's the best place to buy old nes games (ebay?)? i've heard Digitpress the site to go for classic games so here i am, so any info regardin my questions or just anything else ya think ya should know that would help a noob out would be great. thx.

The best place to store your games is somewhere at room temperature that isn't too damp.

The best place to buy NES games is thrift stores, yard sales, and swap meets IMO.

Digitpress has been pretty good for me finding games. Definetly expect to pay a little more here since its collectors and not just gamers. but people here are very friendly and helpful.

Depends what you prize really. Get covers for what you love and or is worth something. I get the games from both here and the store since i live like 5 min. away.

In addition to Ebay, Amazon and Half.com can be good places to look.

Ebay and Amazon are great places to buy games, but if you buy from them I would advise you to be extremely patient when looking. The blessing and curse of these sites is that everything is available to you anytime you want it, but you will tend to over pay if you buy the first thing you see.

I would figure out exactly what you want and keep an eye on those items in auctions until you understand what a good deal is and what a bad deal is. Trust me I got back into classic games recently just like you and my impatience got the best of me resulting in me paying too much for what I wanted. Also buying games in lots (multiple games bundled together and sold as one) will save you HUGE money.

No problem. :D
When you've been here for 10 days I believe, you will see a forum called buying and selling where you buy sell or trade with other members here.
