There are literally only two games on that list worth owning and they are both Nintendo first party. I can't imagine anyone would collect any of the other stuff on that list. It's pure junk.

I agree, Mario Kart Wii and Excite Truck are probably the two best racing games on the Wii right now.

Some people really like Speed Racer, too. NASCAR Kart Racing and the Cars games are also pretty well done.

most of them are only $20 apiece

Trust me and Bojay, 90% of the games on that list are garbage. The Kawasaki games, the Monster games, Mini Desktop Racing, Rig Racer 2, M&Ms Kart Racing, Myth Makers, etc...please, please don't buy them.

Anyone going for a Wii and/or DS complete set should just donate that money to a charity @_@ I know I waste money like a siv sometimes but man that would be some :ass:tacular collection

I know they're mostly crap, but I'm sure there's somebody out there buying them all, just so they can say they own them all... I was considering doing so myself, until I realized just how many crappy Wii racers there are... have to agree that not even half a dozen games on that list are really worth owning

more so if it was someone like DangerBoy who had to have every variant too.

Aside from the previously mentioned games, does anybody know of any other worthwhile racing games on the Wii? Something decent has to have been released in the past 2 years.

If you liked Excitetruck, Excitebots is actually pretty dang fun.

Build & Race is pretty decent IMO, havent tried the "build" track construction part of it, but it's not too bad to "race".

& I heard Glacier 2 or whatever it's called is absolutely atrocious.

Well, a guy on GameFAQS liked it anyway.

Sega All Star racing is a pretty good Mario Kart clone. Less than $20 as well.

You're missing Dirt 2 on that list.

Ewww. DiRT 2 is really bad on the Wii compared to the PC/PS3/360 versions

Trackmania - It's a fun, cheap and unpolished budget title (bound to get cheaper too). You'll get what you pay for, which auto-qualifies it for the third-party Wii racing game top tier list. LOL

Having played the Windows versions of both Trackmania and Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing, I can recommend both of those games. For myself, I personally prefer SSASR to the Mario Kart series, though I do realize that it is MK which acts as the template for all other kart racers. But if you have a personal affinity for SEGA, its characters, or the Dreamcast days, SSASR acts as an homage to the lot. Trackmania is a fun, light, arcade-y racer where you can not only race on traditional tracks, but also stunt tracks and crazy tracks, as well as create your own and share them. Plus both games feature online play, and that's always a highlight especially for racers.

I agree, but it's a Wii racing game nonetheless.

If Driver Parallel Lines is atleast as good as the PS2 version, then it's another good game on that list.

Has anyone actually played Penny Racers Party? I see that it got pretty bad reviews, but I enjoyed Choro Q Park for Saturn and Road Trip: Shifting Gears for GBA, both of which are in the same series.
