Right off the top of my head...I have the cartridge version of the arcade game for the 2600, 5200, Odyssey 2, Colecovision and Intellivision, and I know that Nintendo did a tabletop electronic game as well. I think there were also Japanese carts for the Famicom and GB, not sure if those were ported for the US market.
And let's not forget the infamous Pac-Man coin-op hack that replaced Pac-Man with a little Popeye head, and the power pellets with spinach cans. LOL

There's a educational Popeye spelling game for the Famicom that's similar to Donkey Kong Jr. Math.

I have that game. It's title is "Eigo Asobi". It was designed I believe to help Japanese children learn English. The game plays just like Hangman.

The bastid (not really) guy at my church youth group set out a arcade style table thing of popeye for the teens to play and such. No one plays it....and he wont sell it. Its like the type of arcade game you would see at the dentist office. TV viewing place ont he top and you sit down and play. What I wouldn't give for it.

This reminds me of a video tape I got once of the 1994 CES. I don't have time to dig through my VHS tapes now to find it but I want to look it up soon and go through it...be kind of an interesting look at gaming of days gone by. I did find an ad for it in "Awesome Super Nintendo Secrets 3" by J. Douglas Arnold & Zach Meston (Hi, Zach!) and it's called "Doug & Zach's Winter 1994 CES Home Movies". The one thing I remember from it is watching it with a friend and spying the SNES Popeye (which obviously never came to the U.S.) and my friend, not really good at Mario, exclaiming, "Oh NO! It's got a map like Mario!" (referring to Super Mario Bros. 3). :D

You'll find quite a few of them here (no Nintendo/Famicom though):

If you're missing any afterwards, just ask in the Emulation forum. If I don't have them, someone there will!

I feel cheated that this version wasn't released in the US. Afterall, he IS an American icon. And if I recall my youthful days of cartoon watching correctly, Popeye did fight against the Japanese in such cartoons as You're a Sap Mr. Jap, and Scrap the Japs.
I woulda' bought the game, that's for sure.
