View Full Version : Dangit, my DS wireless won't go

I don't get it. I used my wireless connection with my DS a few months ago, in this very apartment, but it just can't seem to find my router anymore.

Fortunately I have my R4 and can run DS2Key in Wardriving mode as a diagnostic. I can find eighteen different wireless networks except for my router; on those very rare occasions I can get its name to show up, its signal strength is at 0 %.

And I know the router is working, because it works perfectly with my Eee PC located clear across the room.

Any suggestions as to what the problem might be? Switching channels on the router doesn't help. And yes, it's definitely in WEP mode. I was a little concerned I might have damaged my DS from dropping it one too many times, but then why would it find all these other networks?

Huh. Turns out the standard DS "search for access points" sees different stuff than DS2Key. And the Nintendo troubleshooting database actually had useful advice for my router.

Never mind. It's just kind of weird that the settings that once worked perfectly just suddenly stopped working entirely.

My psp stopped working with my router as well, till I realized I had re-set my router to "G only" when I was troubleshooting it. Needed to be "B and G" as psp is wireless B signal.

Probably not the problem you had/have, just sharing. :D
