Well, I don't have this, but I'm very interested. I recently got out of the military. However when I went through basic training, before we went to fire our M16s we actually had a SNES set up, and they had a cart, that just had a plain label on it "Basic Rifle Marksmanship" or something of the sort, and it basically was just a virtual shooting gallery, and they had an M16 snes periphreal (sp?) to go with the SNES.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of either of these items, the cart or the M16? Any value guesses? I REALLY wanted that cart, but I figured asking the Drill Sergeants for it, wasn't in my best of interests.

Thanks,
Nick

Nice find. However this now only begs the question, do copies outside of the military exist? If so, do you think people care enough for it to be actually worth anything, or would it be one of those R7-10s worth like nothing, just incredible to find.

copies do exist outside the military. i have both the M-16 and a game cartidge. I paid $300 for the game and $1000 for the M-16. They show up from time to time, but are exceedingly rare. Most certainly, people are interested in them.

I remember about two summers ago there were a bunch up on ebay all at once - man that was a busy time ;)

There's a thread about it on DP somewhere already.

I believe most people consider them one of the grails of snes collecting, the question is how many were made

I'm really disappointed that they are still using SNES' for training...might as well get a Superscope...

That is one of the coolest things I have heard of for the SNES. To think they still use them to train, it is really cool. I must have one.

It's known as the MACS system. There are 2 different carts and the rifle if memory serves.

As Skaar said, about 2 years ago, someone was able to buy out a good chunk of the military supply and toss them all up on ebay. Carts were selling for 700+ for a while, and then started to slide. The last ones were in the 500 range. I know that 98Pacecar and DreamTR have rifles and carts.

I'm looking for the threads on it, but i'm not seeing what I want at the moment. I'll post the links when I can find them.
