I just got Prince of Persia and am loving it, but sometimes feel like it is a bit too open ended for it's own good. Like I said I love the game, it isn't stressing me to finish or go a certain way before 3 minutes but something makes me feel lost in the game. It could be me, but I feel lost a good amount of the time so end up hitting Y for the guide to pop up. There really isn't a order at all for the levels so I don't know which level is which and what I should pass first. Anyone else have this feeling?

The last one that came out. Sorry for no carification.

Which version of Prince of Persia?
I'm guessing the new one since Sands of Time and the sequel Hot Topic Battle were pretty linear.
I get overwhelmed with games that are too open, actually. I've never enjoyed RPGs in any meaningful fashion, and I never finish them once I start them unless I have a clear goal in mind. Life is already full of aimless wandering, I don't need to do it virtually in order to relax. Oblivion and Fallout 3 were fun, but will I ever finish them? Nope.

haha I hear ha Half. I am the same way (Especially the old GTA's), but this version os PoP is pretty damn cool. Looks awesome as well, the controls are fluid as a mofo. It's just really open as where to go and do and in what order that might throw me off more.

I do like a gentle nudge in the right direction now and then... but I hear you on the open feeling of the game making you feel a little lost.
I love and hate the lack of consequence to dying however - it's great that you basically cannot die through falling (thus becoming frustrated) but I feel it makes me a little too casual towards "Hey, I wonder if I can make this..."
No fear hurts motivation.
I'm still playing through it though. Good title overall.

Yeah it's a true quality title from Ubisoft. I was surprised that I was going to like it this much, due to the whole no death thing. It gives it more of a laid back feel to it, just sit and play it no rush no worries.
I didn't play the last gen PoP's, is the gameplay similar?
