Just got via Craigslist a boxed Super Nintendo Control Set. Everything was in great condition, including the box and even the styrofoam. The only problem is the usual discoloration of the system which can't really be helped. I paid $25 for it and was just wondering if I got an ok deal and what one of these is worth.

That's a good price. I'd have picked it up for that myself and would probably sell it with SMW and maybe a couple other games for at least 60 (or I'd keep it depending on condition relative to what I have). It is pretty easy (a week or two) to sell an unboxed one w/ SMW and a couple filler games for $50 around here as long as it works and is ready to play. If I want it gone in a day or two, I'll price it at $40. SMW is pretty key, though. Street Fighter draws some people and is good since it isn't really worth selling on its own.
edit: I meant to add: if you really want to to get a premium, you could wait till you find a nice non-yellowed system to sell in the box. Not necessarily worth the time/effort, though.

Ugh, don't remind me of boxed SNES systems. I had a mint boxed and complete SNES Model 2. Everything, even the box was in great shape. All that was missing was the plastic baggies. Guess what I sold it for on ebay? $50+shipping. I made a thread about it showing my disgust and then I get people that said they would have given me triple digits for it. Where where they earlier? :P
